The last thing you want to hear on the phone from the bride-to-be is “We’ve had to cancel our wedding”, and this recently happened to me. A lot of things go through your mind when you initially hear that, but nothing prepares you when the next sentence is “We are moving the wedding to Mauritius!”. Ashley and Jamie had abandoned their original plans of a wedding in Mexico for the tropical paradise that is Mauritius. Who was I to complain?
So in April a wedding party of 22 gathered together at Gatwick Airport and flew out for a Mauritius wedding, where we all spent a week relaxing, drinking, exploring, and taking in all that this stunning location had to offer.
The wedding day was hosted at on the island Ile Des Deux Coco’s (Island of Two Coconuts) which is located just 5 minutes off the Mauritian mainland by boat. This island boasts its own villa and beautiful beaches and scenery that rival the mainland itself. It was simply beautiful! We had the entire place to our selves for the night and we definitely made the most of it.
Below are a collection of my favorite images from this beautiful Mauritian wedding. Congratulations Ashley and Jamie!
